Keur Marrakis is an integrated tourism center, based on the use of local economic resources, in harmony with the surrounding environment and respectful of local customs and traditions. Our hotel includes 20 comfortable and well equipped rooms, each with its own tiled bathroom, with ample sinks and showers, some of which have sea view,. They have wooden beds made by skilled local carpenters. Each bed has own mosquito net to guarantee our visitors a calm and relaxing sleep. A traditional lighting achieved with hand-carved calabashes, creates a subtle and mysterious atmosphere. Ceiling fans in every room ensure maximum freshness during the hottest days, even though the maritime breeze keeps Keur Marrakis a cool and pleasant place all year.

LE DIOLOFF our house for groups
Le Djoloff is a house annexed at 50 m of distance from Keur Marrakis. Le Djoloff is the perfect house for small to medium groups who want to share experiences in Senegal. It presents functional common areas and private rooms, in a building with a wide view on the ocean and with a garden of about 2000 sq.m. with tropical plants and exotic fruit trees. The house was conceived following a traditional architecture system, with a circular plan and ventilated conical roof, to keep the environment naturally fresh in all the months of the year. It is placed in a privileged location on a dune over heading the seaside. It is in a strategic position to reach the fish market and the city center on foot. Le Djoloff includes 10 double rooms and 2 seminar/multi-purpose common rooms at the ground floor. All the rooms are finely decorated, with either an ocean or a garden view. Each room has private toilet and is equipped with fans and mosquito nets. A large and shady semi-covered terrace overlooking the ocean is ideal for Yoga classes and can host up to 20 participants.

Fish Market. The dugouts made in decorated wood with gaudy symbols and charged with loads of fish, arrive every evening at the port of Mbour. The sale of the fish offers an amazing spectacle and is the busiest moment of the day in this otherwise very active fishing harbor. There is an unceasing coming and going of fishermen, traders, buyers and many others offering various services of fish treatment. Crafts Market. Explore the vibrant colors and rich culture in the local Craft Market . You can discover handmade African art and crafts, including painted canvas wallets, key rings, bracelets, ritual masks, batik, hand-painted artisanal fabrics from Mali and West Africa. Textile Souk. The bazaar offers a range of various products: from the Malian precious cloth to the Chinese inexpensive products. You can also find a multitude of sewing shops in open air: tailors and dressmakers that are constantly cutting and sewing dresses of local mark for Senegalese men and women eager to be beautiful.
